Dock Update:
Reminder that all boats should be out by Saturday, October 29th.
As a result of the new club house footprint, it has been determined that there will no longer be space on the property for winter dock storage. Starting in the fall of 2012, all docks will be stored in the water up Bailey’s Creek. In order to prepare the docks to survive winter storage in the water, it’s necessary to replace the current flotation system with tubs (similar to what is used at the Parker Avenue town docks) this fall. All existing wood will now be approximately 1″ out of the water significantly extending the life of our docks. In addition to the new flotation system, all hardware (fittings/hinges) will also be replaced adding to longer life, creating greater stability and improved saftey for all club members.
Thus, we really just need a clubhouse and grounds winterizing crew on Saturday. You can leave your hard hats at home. And we’ll be done in no time. 10AM!! It’s a new day.
